The No Surprises Act, which is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect clients from receiving unexpected medical bills. The Good Faith Estimate provision of the No Surprises Act is designed to give clients an estimate of how much they’ll be charged for the healthcare services they’ll be receiving, prior to their appointment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227)

Typically when there is a divorce, a parenting plan or similar legal documentation is in place that describes who has the authority to agree to treatment for the minor. Some of our clinicians are licensed and some are in the process of becoming licensed. We have Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). We also have a board certified Christian Life Coach, Pastoral counseling, and Christian navigator options.
Professional therapists are post-graduate level mental health service providers, trained to work with individuals, families and groups in treating mental, behavioral, and emotional problems and disorders. Professional Therapists are licensed by the state and have a variety of certifications, including LPC, LCSW, LMFT among others. With the completion of graduate school, before they are licensed by the state, professional therapists work under the supervision of a senior licensed professional and are called Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work, depending on their education and career path.
• EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) focuses on the individual’s present concerns that may be affected by past emotionally charged experiences. Influencing events can include past trauma, highly stressful events, abuse and difficult emotional encounters.
• EMDR processing helps you break through the emotional blocks that are keeping you from living an adaptive, emotionally healthy life. EMDR uses rapid sets of eye movements to help you update disturbing experiences, much like what occurs when we sleep.
• EMDR replicates your natural sleep pattern by alternating between sets of eye movements and brief reports about what you are noticing. This alternating process helps you update your memories to a healthier present perspective.
• EMDR focuses on the brain’s ability to constantly learn, taking past experiences, and updating them with present information.
Pastoral counseling involves intentional and structured interaction between a person seeking help and a pastor. Within the context of a strictly confidential one-to-one conversation, the pastor and person seeking assistance, prayerfully discern the issues faced. The pastor then applies Spirit-led biblical wisdom in an attempt to set therapeutic goals which promote spiritual growth and healing. With a compassionate heart and a sincere desire to help, the pastor may join these goals to an accountability structure. Throughout the process, the pastor provides biblical guidance and exhortation.
Life coaching is the process of helping clients gain clarity about different aspects of their lives, define clear goals, and find ways to achieve them. Board Certified Christian Life Coaches use their education, training and personal experiences to help people move forward. Many people seeking the services of a Board Certified Christian Life Coach are looking for direction, situational solutions, issue reframing, appropriate boundary settings and personal development. Board Certified Christian Life Coaches are not counselors, concentrating on past issues, but trained coaches who focus on current and future situations facing their clients, helping people create a strategy to move forward and helping guide them in its implementation. Board Certified Christian Life Coaches usually work with a client for a set number of appointments, defining goals and guiding their clients toward completion. Coaches charge for their services and do not diagnose or offer counseling so their services are usually not reimbursable from an insurance provider.
Christian Navigators are trained helpers who do not have a traditional mental health education, master's degree, or licenses, but can provide crucial support, comfort, and care to those who are suffering. These are Christians who have been trained and led by the Spirit to assist those who may be facing issues and need a little extra help. These volunteers do not charge for their services and offer only short term biblically based assistance.
